Why Is This Man Smiling?

Because he's about to become a grandfather! (We have no idea who the lady on the left is.)

Baby Jack Life Lesson #1: Play Real Sports

Russian Dolls

Three beauties, one cutie!

The Kiss

Ok, so it's not Doisneau, but it's close! Ken arrives fashionably late to the DC Baby Shower, flowers in hand. Stephanie and Baby Jack were showered with thoughtful gifts and invaluable, tears-inducing advice from friends and family, near and far. The shower was graciously hosted by Isabel Goldenberg and Ines Kuperschmit. Big thanks to Claire Carlin, Margaret Sullivan (aka Aunt Marge), and Sarah Morrison for all their help and extra touches.

New York Shower Heroes

Big hugs and even bigger thanks to Gretchen and Michele for organizing Stephanie's New York shower, to Ada for being such a wonderful hostess (as always!), and a very special thanks to Dana who was incredibly helpful and diligent (and accurate!) in recording all the amazing things Jack recieved from you, our generous friends and family. Thank you everyone - you've given us an incredible head start on Jack's wardrobe, library, and stuffed pals.

New York Baby Shower

Knit knit knit! Among many other generous gifts - including a small library of wonderful kid's books, a suspiciously blue-and-orange snowsuit, and all manner of snuggly things - a colorful variety of knitted, fruited hats were presented in anticipation of Baby Jack's arrival from long-time family friend, Mollie. Here Stephanie previews the Spring line.

Five Dollar Foot Long?

Nope, it's 8 weeks to go. This is us on a bench in front of the Inn at Perry Cabin, surrounded by the last of winter's cold air and a million goosepoops. Oh, Canada. For some reason I have Brian Mulroney's chin in this photo - not sure how that happened!
